I am using Photoshop CS2.This tutorial works for other versions too with little variation.
Lots of people are sending me emails on how to make glitters with the glitter border.so, here it is.Lets get started.
First of all find the fills you want.I got this clear fill and border fill from Sugarysweet.net.
Open the fills in imageready.And then go to File >> Edit in Photoshop.The file will Open in Photoshop.
Now you will see the layers of the file.
Select one by one by (like i selcted layer 1) and Go to >>Edit >> define pattern. and Name the layer anything you like.I just say 1,2 ,3 simple and easy :).
Do the same with all the layers by selecting them and define pattern.
Now open new document and type your text and apply any effects you want or not.
Here's mine
next right click on tha layer and >> Duplicate layer, until you have 3 layers like this.
After you have done that.Select layer one and go to blending options by right click >> blending or Layer>> Layer style>> blending options.
and select pattern overlay.select the pattern you have saved by clicking on the box next to pattern.Like this
and then select stroke and where it says fill type select pattern from the drop down box.and select your desired pattern and select the size of your border.
Do this to all layers one by one.remember to select different patterns for each layers 1 layer >> 1 pattern layer,2 nd layer >> 2nd pattern layer and so.
Now we need to animate.Go to>> windows>> animation and animation box will come up.
Select that icon(marked with red box) which is called duplicating frames.Click it two times so you have total 3 layers of your text.
now select frame 1 in the animation frame and select the layer one from your layers.2 frame >> 2 layer and so that it will animate right,
then we have to select the time of animation like this.
I choose 0.5 seconds for this tutorial.
click the play button to see if it works.and then save .
Voila here is your glitter.
